Cultivated on Ethiopia's plateau
Since 2022, we have been growing flowers at our second location in Debre Zeit/Bishoftu. This nursery is located almost 2000 metres above sea level. The focus at this nursery is on producing the beautiful roses with large buds and bright colours.
Debre Zeit is located on Ethiopia's high plateau, surrounded by some extraordinary crater lakes. It is the heart of Oroman culture and serves as the backdrop of the biggest cultural festival of the year: Irreeccha.
Top-quality flowers in the most beautiful colours
At the nursery in Debre Zeit, mainly large-flowered roses are selected with a bud size of at least 5cm. The varieties are all selected for being just that little bit more special: A white rose with excellent flowering in the vase, a velvety red rose that rivals the finest red roses. Or a flower with a special colour play of orange and red flames.
Eye for detail
Every day, everything revolves around growing a superior flower. This starts with selecting the best varieties. In the greenhouses, we are constantly working to ensure the roses grow as healthily as possible. A balanced crop results in the best quality roses!
We deliberately harvest our roses a little riper. This gives our roses even more beautiful colours and they open more beautifully in the vase. The flowers are packed with the greatest care. Only the most beautiful roses are sent to Europe.
